Resolution - Fleet Services:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 31055872, with Jim Bass Ford, for the purchase of three mid-size sport utility vehicles for Police Parking Control and for Water Conservation and Education.
In response to ITB 21-15568-JM the following bids were received and opened on October 30, 2020.
Line Item 1: Three mid-size sport utility vehicles
1 mid-size sport utility vehicle for Police Department Parking Control will replace one 2008 model in need of extensive repairs and past its useful life.
2 mid-size sport utility vehicles for Water Conservation and Education will replace one 2003 model and one 2006 model, all of which are in need of extensive repairs and past their useful lives.

Staff recommends award to the lowest bidder who met all specifications, Jim Bass Ford of San Angelo, Texas. Purchase Order 31055872 to Jim Bass Ford, for the purchase of three mid-size sport utility vehicles, totals $85,524.

$1,755,000 is appropriated in Capital Project 92676 General Fund Vehicle Replacement FY 2020-21, with $28,508 available for this purchase of one mid-size sport utility vehicle for Lubbock Police Parking Control.
$672,000 is appropriated in Capital Project 92677 Water/Wastewater Vehicle Replacement FY 2020-21, with $57,016 available for this purchase of two mid-size sport utility vehicles for Water Conservation and Education
