Resolution - Facilities Management: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement, Contract 14190, with Randall Scott Architects, Inc. (RSA), for additional design services to the Municipal Courts Facility, and delegating authority to the City Manager in regard to certain future amendments.

Item Summary

The original $619,383 contract, approved April 9, 2019, Resolution No. 2019-R0126, includes professional services related to the design, plans and specifications for Public Safety Improvements Project, Municipal Courts Facility. The scope of services includes: Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Administration phases.
Amendment No. 1 includes:

Additional Services Proposal (ASP #1) – Additional civil and structural engineering fees to include paving the alley and replacing a portion of the roof. This portion of Amendment No. 1 will increase the contract amount by $6,750.
Additional Services Proposal (ASP #2) – Additional structural engineering fees associated with existing unforeseen building conditions. This portion of Amendment No.1 will increase the contract amount by $9,500.

Fiscal Impact

$55,882,000 is appropriated in Capital Improvement Project No. 92551, Public Safety Improvements Project, with $16,250 available for this purpose.
