|Resolution - Facilities Management: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract 14964, an agreement with Condray Design Group, Inc., to provide Architectural and Engineering Design Services, for the Lubbock Power & Light GIS Office Addition located at 402 Municipal Drive, Lubbock, Texas.
|This $84,000 contract includes professional services related to the design, plans, and specifications for the construction of a new Lubbock Power and Light (LP&L) GIS Office Addition. The new addition, approximately 2,650 square feet, will be constructed on City-owned property and adjacent to existing LP&L facilities. The contract deliverables include the final construction documents, plans, and specifications for the construction of this new addition.
Scope of work includes all basic Architectural, Structural, Mechanical/Plumbing and Electrical Engineering Services. The Services includes: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, limited Construction Administration, and provide Interior Design, including assistance with the selection and procurement of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment.
The City of Lubbock solicited qualified firms for this project by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process, using the following criteria: Organization/Qualifications (30 points); Experience on similar projects (30 points); Project approach (30 points); and Overall responsiveness to RFQ (10 points). The maximum point value is 100 points, per evaluator. Five local firms submitted their qualifications. The 3-member Committee included staff from Facilities Management and LP&L. Based on the committee's evaluation, the following ranking was given:

Condray Design Group, Inc. (CDG) was selected for this project, based on their experience with this type of facility and overall ranking throughout the RFQ selection process. The City met with CDG and negotiated the proposed contract for the total amount of $84,000. The proposed timeline for this project will be 360 days from award of this contract.
